The highlight of Malmö/Lund…Ribersborgs Kallbadhus. This 116 year-old open-air bath is located on the beach of Ribersborgs in Malmö, just down the way from the Turning Torso building.
As they say, it is “a menu for the whole body”, providing sea bathing, a sun deck, shed, massages, facials, reflexology, café and a la carte restaurant. They have a café in front when you first enter. Here, they serve food and offer open mic nights on a small stage. As you pass through to the back of the house, they have wash rooms, lockers and the saunas. All together there are five saunas: a wood sauna and a dry sauna on each side (men’s and women’s) with a shared steam sauna in the middle. Locals gather here to skinny dip and sweat it out year round!
Cameron and I weren’t permitted to go in since we didn’t purchase admittance. We did however enjoy the ambiance of the café while discussing some business ideas and initial thoughts of our adventure thus far!
